The shape is not drawn to scale, and is considerably smaller than that generated for x1 = 1000 or 1010: effective information of the whole ei(X0(maxH)→X0(T,x1)) = 1.2 bits, as opposed to 4 bits when element n1 is spiking. The actual repertoire of the whole is not specified precisely. (B): By contrast, if element n2 is inactivated – rather than merely inactive – and connections with source n2 are replaced with noise, the quale collapses.
