Cell morphology, particularly so neurite lengths are altered as a result of AChE overexpression and culture on laminin-1. Pictures show merged view of Karnovsky Roots (brown), immunostaining with an anti-alpha tubulin antibody (green) and cell nuclei stained with DAPI (blue). Scale bar 50 µm. Table: AChE overexpression stimulates the formation of type III morphology (neuronal-like). Laminin-1 leads to a strong shift to the type I and type II cells.
