A. A single cell suspension from collagenase digested muscle tissue (Figure 1C) analyzed directly by flow cytometry using fluorescent-conjugated antibodies against the cell surface markers indicated in the figure. The bar graph indicates the number of positive cells for each marker (mean ± SEM, n = 6). Significant difference is observed (*) between the first sub-population compared to the next two sub-populations for all five sets (Mann Whitney U test, p≤0.01). B. Cells isolated after two hours adherence, (Figure 1B) were analyzed by flow cytometry using the indicated antibodies. The bar graph indicates the number of positive cells for each marker (mean ± SEM, n = 8). Significant difference is observed (*) between CD34, CD56, CD91, CD29 and CD31, CD45 and CD117 (Mann Whitney U test, p≤0.01).
