Effect of compound 21 administration on glucose intolerance in KK-Ay mice.

Effect of administration of compound 21 (C21) on concentrations of blood glucose (A) and serum insulin (B) in oral glucose tolerance test (OGTT), and glucose concentration in insulin tolerance test (ITT) (C) in KK-Ay mice. Male KK-Ay mice were treated as described in ‘Methods’. Some KK-Ay mice treated with C21 were concurrently administered GW9662, a PPARγ antagonist. OGTT and ITT were performed after 16 hours and 4 hours of fasting, respectively (n = 8–10 per group). Data are expressed as mean ± SEM. *p<0.01 vs. control; †p<0.01 C21 vs. C21+GW9662.
