The discharge at Belle Chasse, Louisiana (USGS Gauge 070374525) is noted in the lower left corner of each image. The images were selected to show both the temporal evolution and a diversity of river stages. The May 7, 2020 image relates to a discharge of 31,587 m3 s-1, which is near the maximum allowable flow in the lower Mississippi River (35,400 m3 s-1), and the July 21, 2022 and August 20, 2023 near historic low flow values.
