Ternary plot of amino acid sequence variation in genes associated with antibiotic resistance and hypermutation.

M3L7 isolates were cultured from sputum samples during intravenous treatment of an acute pulmonary exacerbation (Days 1, 7, 14 and 23) and at outpatient follow-up 8 weeks later. Protein sequences (compared to PAO1) were grouped according to the resistance they confer or to their biological function and three colors are used to filter the proteins.
