Separate groups of wild-type (WT; white bars/symbols) and Rac2−/− (black bars/symbols) mice were infected with C. rodentium or given vehicle control (sham) by orogastric gavage. (A) Percent weight change (relative to day 0) and (B) clinical symptoms score in WT and Rac2−/− uninfected (circles) and infected (squares) mice. (C) Scoring of goblet cell loss at day 22 of infection. n = 4–11/group. Data are expressed as mean ± SEM and are from one of three independent experiments. Statistical analysis was performed using two-way ANOVA with Tukey’s post hoc test.
