Both types of astroglial cells expressed GFAP and GLAST and were also positive for TRPV4. (B) The incidence of flat and non-flat astrocytes in controls (CTRL) and those isolated from the CA1 hippocampal region 1H and 7D after H/I (n = number of coverslips). The values are presented as mean ± S.E.M. Statistical significance was calculated using one-way ANOVA. *p<0.05, significant; ***p<0.001, extremely significant.
