BryantThe reaction solutions contained 25 mM Tris acetate (pH 7.5), 10 mM magnesium acetate, 5 µM dTn (nucleotide concentration), and the indicated concentrations of SsbB protein (tetramer concentrations). The reactions were analyzed by polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis using a gel running buffer consisting of Tris acetate (pH 7.5) and 10 mM magnesium acetate. The bands corresponding to the unbound dTn oligomers, and the B1 and B2 complexes, were visualized by phosphorimaging.
